Ingredients
Crust
1box of butter cake mix
3/4stick buttervery soft (I use salted butter, and if you want to throw in the whole stick, that's fine too!)
1egg
Filling
1 8ozpackage cream cheese(softened)
1 16ozpackage powdered sugar
2eggs
1tspvanilla
Instructions
Mix the crust ingredients together until a thick dough forms and press into the bottom of greased pan (I use 9x13 glass baking dish, but I've also used a cake pan).
In a bowl, add the filling ingredients and beat with a hand mixer until combined and there are no lumps from the cheese or sugar, then pour over the crust.
Bake at 325 for 45 minutes to an hour, or until crust is golden and top has set.
Notes
The top might still wobble a bit as you pull it from the oven-but as it cools it should firm enough to be cut into squares
